        Dahn Yoga for the Soul

The ancient art of Yoga is enjoyed worldwide and continues to be developed today. Its influence is vast and is constantly expanding. While many have heard of 'Hatha' Yoga, which is by far the most common form of Yoga practiced, there are many other styles of Yoga utilized for their special disciplines in meeting the individual goals of the practitioner.

Hatha Yoga encompasses both the breathing control mechanism and the physical exercise of postures combined. This exercise allows optimized blood circulation and improves
one’s flexibility, stamina, strength and vitality. Hatha Yoga is also a form of peaceful mediation that contributes to self-awareness and enhances energy, improving one's perspective of life. Various centers are established in many cities to promote awareness
of the life-shaping benefits of this ancient Yoga discipline.

Another type of Yoga, Dahn Yoga, was incubated in Korea. In its earliest form, this program of instruction aimed to instruct people how to broaden the potential of both
body and mind. Also, referred to as Dahn Hak or Dahnak, this ancient practice was lost
to the world for some time, but was later rediscovered.

Through deep stretching, breathing methods and meditation, Dhan Yoga promotes
physical, mental, and spiritual healing and connects us to our spiritual selves. It promotes body relaxation and the discovery of inner consciousness.

Dahn Yoga also educates on the principles and concepts of energy and how it acts or moves in the body. It also teaches that aging and weakening of the body is caused by stress. As stress weakens the body, toxins accumulate, and the body is subject to any number of disorders. The removal of stress will definitely improve one’s health and pro=long life. Thus, Dahn Yoga focuses on how to improve and develop that energy flow inside the body.

Dahnak practioners believe that our body has its own natural healing power. This natural healing ability can only be achieved when one has stimulated that certain energy that connects the body to the conscious mind. Through meditation and breath work, energy is enhanced within the body, internal organs and systems are enlivened, and stress and
anxiety are relieved. Through this Yoga style, one learns how to attain a life of self-control and enhanced concentration by learning to communicate within one's own physical self.

An overall feeling of well-being is achieved through better fitness and inner connection, which in turn boosts self-confidence, positive thinking and leads to a brighter life perspective. Dahn Yoga can release one from addictive behaviors as your "new" self is attained and realized.

As mind and body are integrated, latent abilities are discovered, and further goals may be set to enhance your new life. The Dahn Yoga community is known to promote healthy
well-being, a happy mind and peaceful community, and many often volunteer teach
      without payment.

In addition to a personal teacher or class, you may learn this style of Yoga from books, videos or DVD.
